Privacy Policy

Reclaim ("the app", "we", "us") is built on the belief that your data is yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

When you use Reclaim without an account, we collect nothing that identifies you. Your activity names, session times, notes, and ratings are stored only on your device.

When you create an account, we additionally collect:

Your name and email address
Your activity log data, synced to our servers so it's available across devices
Basic account metadata (creation date, last sign-in)

We do not collect location data, contacts, health data, or any information from other apps on your device.

How we store it

Account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States. Firebase is a Google product that meets standard security certifications including SOC 2 and ISO 27001. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

If you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive only the basic profile information those services provide (name and email). We do not receive your Google or Apple passwords.

How we use it

We use your data solely to provide the app's features — storing your sessions, generating your daily Cultivate summaries, and syncing across your devices. That's it.

We do not:

Sell your data to anyone, ever
Share it with advertisers
Use it to train AI models
Send it to any third party except Firebase for storage

Analytics

We currently use no third-party analytics. We may in future add basic crash reporting (to fix bugs) — if we do, we'll update this policy and the app will note it clearly.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account screen inside the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate. We retain no backups of deleted accounts.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or export your data. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.

Children

Reclaim is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you inside the app before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
